Punggol Point Crown
Punggol Point Crown’s playground and fitness stations bring history and nature to life with five animal-inspired play areas, paying tribute to William Lawrence Soma Basapa, Singapore’s “Animal Man.” Inspired by the former Punggol Zoo, each playground recreates different natural habitats and features animal-themed play structures, providing a safe and fun space for children to explore.
Designed by Stephen Caffyn Landscape Design with careful attention to materials, textures, and themes, the playground equipment enhances imaginative play while maintaining harmony with the surroundings. Playworld equipment takes centre stage in these play areas, complemented by vibrant panels depicting the animals once found in the Punggol Zoo.
For children aged 2–5, the playground includes safe equipment that promotes confidence, mobility, and coordination, allowing young explorers to develop key motor skills in a secure setting. Older children, aged 5–12, can test their agility and strength with rope climbing challenges, balance structures, exhilarating slides, and swings, ensuring hours of active fun.
Beyond the playgrounds, fitness stations cater to adults and seniors, featuring fitness equipment from LiveTrail, Galopin, and Stilum. These stations provide a full-body workout, enhance mobility, and seamlessly blend into the nature-inspired landscape, making outdoor exercise an enjoyable and accessible experience for all.
With something for every age group, Punggol Point Crown’s public play spaces encourage families to stay active, engaged, and connected with nature in a safe and exciting environment. Our playgrounds provide children with a dynamic space for active play, creativity, and exploration in a safe environment. Thoughtfully designed to engage young minds and bodies, these play areas encourage climbing, balancing, swinging, and sliding, helping children develop coordination, strength, and confidence. Incorporation of sensory and imaginative play elements stimulates curiosity, while group play structures foster social interaction and teamwork.
